Our Legacy Revealed
At The Highfield, our story is one of heritage, craftsmanship, and thoughtful reinvention.
Originally built in 1864 as a romantic gift from one man to his beloved wife, this striking Victorian manor has long been part of East Yorkshire’s hospitality landscape. In recent years, the property was beautifully reimagined by renowned architects and interior designers Andy and Lindsey Lampard, whose vision transformed The Highfield into an award-winning private retreat, recognised in the MICHELIN Hotel Guide.

Modern Luxury in Yorkshire
Today, The Highfield enters an exciting new chapter under the care of Laura and Jake Grayson, who continue to honour its legacy while bringing their own passion for exceptional guest experiences. With a deep appreciation for both heritage and modern luxury, they are dedicated to evolving The Highfield as a truly special destination.
Behind its distinctive black and white façade lies a world of understated indulgence. With just ten individually designed bedrooms, each layered with vintage charm, rich textures, and luxurious details, The Highfield offers an intimate and characterful stay. Alongside this, guests can enjoy refined dining, expertly crafted cocktails, a curated boutique, and a tranquil treatment room - all designed to elevate every moment.
Set on the edge of the charming market town of Driffield, and within easy reach of the Yorkshire Wolds and dramatic coastline, The Highfield is perfectly placed for both escape and exploration.
Our vision is to create a destination where heritage meets contemporary indulgence - where thoughtful design, exceptional service, and a sense of calm come together effortlessly. Whether joining us for a relaxing stay, a celebration, or exclusive private hire, every experience is designed to feel personal, warm, and unforgettable.
